Alcesti
View winesAlcesti begins in Marsala, in the province of Trapani, where the Paladino–Spanò family—winegrowers for generations—built their winery in 2003 to follow every step of the chain themselves, from vineyard to bottle.
At its core is a simple mission: communicate the style of their territory through the wine, with the drinker’s satisfaction as the priority.
Location
The vineyards stretch across about 50 hectares between Marsala, Mazara, and Salemi, planted at 100–280 meters above sea level—an inland-and-coastal corridor that gives them room to work with Sicily’s different exposures and growing conditions.
Winemaking & Philosophy
In the vineyard, Alcesti moved to organic farming in 2016, and they highlight the Hèila line as certified organic and vegan.
In the cellar, the approach is clean and technical: separate pressing lines for whites and reds, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, and an on-site bottling line designed to protect the wines through storage and handling.
