Nord Est Vermentino di Sardegna
Nord Est Vermentino di Sardegna 2024 is a fresh, crisp white wine made from 100% Vermentino grown in northeastern Sardinia’s DOC zone. It captures the bright, citrus-driven character and mineral freshness typical of Vermentino grown on granite-rich soils with maritime influence. Stainless-steel vinification preserves clean fruit expression and invigorating acidity, resulting in a lively, food-friendly wine that reflects Sardinia’s sunny Mediterranean terroir.
Winemaking process
The wine is produced from hand-harvested Vermentino grapes grown in Sardinia’s Monti area. After gentle pressing, fermentation and aging occur in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve freshness, varietal aromatics, and the signature minerality. This clean, stainless-steel approach ensures the wine expresses crisp fruit, Mediterranean herbal notes, and coastal minerality with no heavy oak influence.
Tasting notes
This wine opens with aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and green apple, complemented by hints of Mediterranean herbs and bitter almond. On the palate it is dry, crisp, and mineral, with flavors of grapefruit, citrus peel, and saline wet-stone character, finishing refreshingly vibrant and clean.
Food pairings
Nord Est Vermentino’s bright acidity and zesty profile make it a great match for grilled prawns with lemon and olive oil, steamed mussels with herbs, oysters with mignonette, as well as seafood pasta, fresh salads, and light Mediterranean appetizers.
