IL CONVENTINO Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG

$0.00

🌈 Tasting Profile

Color & Nose
Deep ruby red inviting you into a bouquet where ripe plum and cherry meet gentle floral notes—violets, rose petals—with a balsamic lift and subtle leather or tobacco nuances emerging with decanting.

Palate & Texture
Medium‑ to full-bodied, the wine offers juicy red and black fruits (plums, cherry compote) harmonized by warm spice, licorice, and refined oak. Silky, well-integrated tannins give structure without hardness, sealing with a fresh, persistent finish.

🍷 Winemaking & Ageing

  • Grapes are hand‑harvested from organically farmed vineyards at about 350 m elevation.

  • Fermented in stainless steel at controlled temps, with skin maceration for ~15–18 days.

  • Aged for 24 months in Slavonian oak casks, followed by at least 6 months in bottle before release.

🏆 Recognition

  • Scored ~90 points by Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast, and earned 3 Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso

  • The 2018 vintage won Gold at the Berlin Wine Trophy

🍽️ Pairing & Serving

Serve at 15–18 °C to best enjoy its nuances.

Food matches beautifully with

  • Traditional Tuscan fare: pici with wild-boar ragĂš, braised beef, roasted game

  • Rich tomato sauces, aged pecorino or Parmesan, grilled lamb

  • Also complements chocolate-spiced desserts as a thoughtful finale to dinner .
