Merlot Colle dei Mandorli
Wine of a saturated ruby red color, with an ample, intense and lingering bouquet with traces of red fruits, full and enveloping flavor structure with extremely fragrant and elegant tannins, a very fine wine suitable for long periods of aging.
Winemaking process
Red-wine fermentation, with 20-25 day maceration on the skins and regular pumpovers for several days. At least 14 mounths in oak barriques, where malolatic fermentation takes place, followed by further bottle-ageing.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red; generous, complex nose with lingering fragrancent of pungent spice and ripe red berry; well balanced on the palate, firm-structured yet smooth and opulent, with very fine-grained, fragrant tannins: a wine of great breed with Impressive cellaring potential
